Virginia Lodge Care Home is a private, family-run care home established in 1990. It is situated in open countryside approximately nine miles north of the city of Carlisle in Cumbria.

The home is of single storey construction with wide corridors and doorways and has been extended for its current use. It is set in extensive grounds with raised and mature gardens offering a haven for local wildlife.

Virginia Lodge Care Home provides 24 hour care and support to elderly residents suffering from illnesses causing dementia, old age, and physical frailty. As well as long-term care, Virginia Lodge Care Home offers short-term care with a dedicated respite room.

Visitors, friends, and families are welcome to visit at any time outside of our ‘mealtimes’ which are reserved for the assistance of our residents’ varying needs and abilities to ensure a good nutritional intake. Our protected mealtimes are:

8am – 10am
11.45pm – 1.30pm
4pm – 6pm
